And then there were 3!!!!!

So, we have a new addition to the family. Her name is Sophie and she's a black lab. She's awesome! I'm very excited to have her. She's just about a year old with not a lot of training, so there's work there, but she's very quick. Very loving, and starved for attention because she was not getting any at her previous home. We are "looking forward" to breeding her with our friends chocolate lab in about a year and a half or so. It will definently be planned around, so that I won't have a newborn also at the same time, because I'll have my hands tied helping take care of a bunch of puppies for 15 weeks or so before we sell them. Justin's already very eager to train her to take quail hunting. He's already been working with her by using a quail scent dummy and throwing it and she'll bring it back to him. He also takes her running every night and she's getting better at staying with him, because she does get side-tracked easily. Chamaco loves her and spends all day playing together and Teigen has fun grabbing her tail and sucking the bell on her collar. We are all happy with our newest addition.

Halloween Party!!

Teigen was invited to a Halloween party at Sadie, Kaden, and Kaleb Wilson's house on friday night. We had a great time. Very cute costumes and cute halloween treats. There was also another pirate like Teigen, so I had to get a picture of the two of them. His name is Braxton and he's Teigen's friend. Braxton calls him "Te-go." It's really cute.

TEIGEN'S CRAWLING!!! (7 months old and a little)

On Sunday, 10-12-08, Teigen crawls for the first time...and hasn't missed an oppurtunity exploring the house. We are so excited and new it was coming quick! But now that he's mobile, I have to watch what he's getting into and where he's going. So far he's managed to find the cords behind the t.v., Chamaco's toys...and chews on them, Chamaco's food bowl and water bowl, and is already following Mommy around the house. I'll be in the kitchen and then all of a sudden I'll hear the little slaps his hands make when they get to the tile. He's turning into a mama's boy. It's so much fun to watch him though! I'm so proud of my little boy!

2008 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta

We have this great look-out just right next to our house. You just have to walk up a little hill and you can see all of albuquerque. It's awesome. All the hot air balloons drift towards Rio Rancho where most of them land. It's a great spot. So, I had to wake up Teigen and we met up with Justin(he escaped from work for a half hour) and we saw a lot of balloons. You can see some shaped ones in the distance. We had to bundle up though....it's already starting to get very chilly in the mornings and nights here!

Because I had to wake up Teigen earlier than normal that day(earlier-meaning just before 8-he usually wakes up 8:30 to 9), he passed out a few minutes after putting him in his play chair when we got back (Not a morning person).

Sometimes he'll wipe himself out playing. It'll get quiet all of a sudden and this is how I find Teigen. Poor little guy.

Backyard fun!!

The fun has begun....

We have a deadline with the Community Association to finish our backyard within 9 months of moving into our house. So, we're in the process of building a retaining wall. I drew out a picture of what we'd like done to it and we have a lot of work ahead of us. Thank goodness for friends to help out! (Scott and Justin)

Girls Night out!

So, the girls finally got out!! Left a total of 11 kids home with the dads while the girls went to Olive Garden and then ColdStone for dessert. We had a great time and plan on doing this every month.
