I am currently watching the "Hope for Haiti Now" Broadcast. I hope you all are doing the same. It has touched me deeply to tears. I can't IMAGINE going through such a devastation. I tear up mostly from the pictures and live footage of the children that have lost their parents. Watching the footage of them rescuing babies, children, and people of all ages is amazing that some are alive after being trapped for a week.
The thing that makes me think is when they are pulled out from the debri, the first thing they say is "Thank you God" and "I knew I was going to be okay." The faith that these people are having is something I look up to. I don't know how I would be if in the same situation but I hope that I would feel the same way.
While living in Florida 5 years ago, I grew very close to many Haitian's, even dated one :), while working at the Hospital. They taught me a lot of words in their language "Creole" (almost like a slang french) because their english was not very good. They were happy whenever I saw them that I talked in Creole. They were the NICEST people I have ever met and hope that their families are safe.
I hope all is well with you! Please pray for everyone in Haiti!

Teigen...the Grinch....and Santa.
So I didn't have any posts in December so this is me catching up. These are pics from our ward Christmas party. You never know what to expect at those...ya know? Well, to our suprise it was quite a hoot. There's a children's book author in our ward and she wrote a cute little play. The hit was of course The grinch! It's great when you know him behind the make-up. Someone I would never have guessed. He did a great job. It was a fun night. Teigen was pretty nervous about Santa and then adding this green guy....what the heck mom!!!! Thanks a lot. The pictures say it all.
