I am currently watching the "Hope for Haiti Now" Broadcast. I hope you all are doing the same. It has touched me deeply to tears. I can't IMAGINE going through such a devastation. I tear up mostly from the pictures and live footage of the children that have lost their parents. Watching the footage of them rescuing babies, children, and people of all ages is amazing that some are alive after being trapped for a week.
The thing that makes me think is when they are pulled out from the debri, the first thing they say is "Thank you God" and "I knew I was going to be okay." The faith that these people are having is something I look up to. I don't know how I would be if in the same situation but I hope that I would feel the same way.
While living in Florida 5 years ago, I grew very close to many Haitian's, even dated one :), while working at the Hospital. They taught me a lot of words in their language "Creole" (almost like a slang french) because their english was not very good. They were happy whenever I saw them that I talked in Creole. They were the NICEST people I have ever met and hope that their families are safe.
I hope all is well with you! Please pray for everyone in Haiti!

Doesn't it just break your heart? I really love hearing the stories of survival, hope and sacrifice that people are making to save the lives of others. I take comfort in knowing that my donation to the humanitarian fund goes directly to them.
The biggest heartbreak is seeing the orphans. Adam and I just want to take them in.
Yes, it is a good reminder that we have so much to be thankful for and we need to thank Heavenly Father daily, or hourly sometimes, for these blessings. I'm glad your tender heart has felt these stirrings.
