Now he goes into "sharing time" with his class and all the other classes and has singing time and activity...for an hour...sitting in a chair the whole time. Next, he goes into a classroom with just his teacher and 5 other kids, having a lesson...for an hour....sitting in a chair the whole time. (Not to mention we have sacrament and listen to talks prepared by a few people just before all this...for an hour...sitting in a chair the whole time). Are you catching my drift here?? He had to be quiet, sit still the whole time and listen for 3 hours. That's huge for a 3 year old in my eyes.
But Teigen did AWESOME!!
There were quiet a few kiddos that were "melting" and crying. Some were on the ground, others bent over with their head in their hands, and others trying to leave the primary room. It was so loud! Some of the kids...I know of at least 4...did not even make it through primary...so moms had to go get them.
I couldn't help but laugh a little because I felt soooooo bad for these new teachers and new primary presidency too! It. was. insane! Did I mention 23 kids moved up from nursery to sunbeams? YEAH! 3 Sunbeam classes!
When I said goodbye to Teigen from his little chair in the front row (so cute by the way) , he was wide-eyed, looking around at different crying, screaming kids and didn't understand what to do. Luckily he was sitting next to a little boy who was quiet and good and I told Teigen that they needed to stick together and be eachothers buddy. He said ok and "bye mom". Oh man...I will admit...I got a little teary-eyed. My "little boy" is getting big and I can't stop that so I had a little moment of sadness.
After church when I went to pick him up from his class, he was all smiles and happy. He said to me he learned about.... "The Holy Ghost" and "make good choices" and "the power" and "we sang a song about the Holy Ghost" and "I got a CTR ring from the treasure box!!" Which...holy cow...someone was super excited about. He only took it off to sleep last night and put it back on this morning and won't take it off. He loves it.
I'm so happy that my little...i mean big boy, was happy in primary and did great.

OH.MY.WORD! I didn't even think about the fact he would be going to Sunbeams! That means Mary and Mique are too. So glad he did well.
Mique was so excited, but when I dropped her off she was not sure. She loved it though. One left to go, Wahoooooo!
What will you do when he starts school??? Just askin? I'm still stuck on the 23 kids movin' up .... WOW! That's NOT your mama's Primary!
Yay Teigs! What a cutie. Chuckling at "the power"....
Holy Cow! He looks so grown up. Looks like my wittle Ashley in Sunbeams. Man...next a mission! Angela and Adam both have teenagers...it's nuts! Make you momma dadda old, why don't you!
I must be a little sentimental today ...that brought tears to my eyes! Please stop feeding and watering the children Ash...make the growing stop! Give that big boy a hug from his Aunt Lauren and tell him I love him. He did great, but so did YOU!
